"We are the Heirs of Communism" (zh. 我们是共产主义接班人), also known as "Team Song of Chinese Young Pioneers" (中国少年先锋队队歌), is a 1960 Chinese pioneer movement song written by Zhou Yuhui and set to music by Ji Ming. It is used in the 1961 film Hero's Little Eight Roads 《英雄小八路》.[1] In late 1978, it was selected as the song of the Chinese Youth Pioneer Team, and in 1980, it was awarded the first prize of the National Children's Literature and Art Creation Award.[2][3]

English translation[]
We are the successors of communism,
Inheriting the glorious tradition of the revolutionary ancestors,
Love the motherland, love the people,
A bright red scarf fluttered on the chest.
Not afraid of difficulties, not afraid of enemies,
Study tenaciously and fight resolutely.
To advance bravely to victory,
To advance bravely to victory,
To advance bravely to victory,
We are the heirs of communism.
We are the successors of communism,
Along the glorious journey of the revolutionary ancestors,
Love the motherland, love the people,
The Pioneers are our proud name.
Always be ready, build merit,
To wipe out the enemy.
To advance bravely for the ideal,
Go forward bravely for the ideal,
To advance bravely for the ideal,
We are the heirs of communism.
