"The Patriotic Song" («Патриотическая песня») was the national anthem of Russia from 1991 to 2000, and previously of the Russian SFSR from 1990 to the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991. The original music was composed by Mikhail Glinka in 1833, which was later rearranged by Mikhail Bagrinovsky in 1944.
Like the current national anthems of Bosnia, Kosovo, San Marino, and Spain, this one had no official lyrics, although unoffial lyrics had been proposed.
