"The Kyakhta Fortress" (mn. Шивээ Хиагт) is a Mongolian revolutionary song from the 1921 People's Revolution about the battle at Fort Kyakhta against Beiyang government forces, which led to Mongolian revolutionary victory. Fort Kyakhta was recaptured by Mongolian forces and four machine guns (mentioned in the song's lyrics) were used during the battle to repel Beiyang forces. This became an important historical event in Mongolian history. A monument of a machine gun is situated in Kyakhta today in homage to these events. There are other popular songs from these events, which include "Red Banner" and "Banner of Revolution."[1]
The song was performed by the Song And Dance Ensemble of The Mongolian People's Army.[1]

English translation[]
To take Fort Kyakhta,
We do not need lanterns.
The determined Beiyang criminals
Will be destroyed by iron shells!
At square structure's entrance,
Four machine guns were set up.
The fleeing of Beiyang criminals
Have been destroyed with ease!
He rides a magnificent steed,
Our country's commander.
He educated the people,
Our genious commander!
On a western mountain peak,
Numerous soldiers gathered.
They stood around him,
Our heroic commander![1]
