The "Song of the Young Pioneers of China" is a 1950 Chinesepioneer movement song about the Young Pioneers of China, a mass youth organization run by the Communist Youth League for children 6–14 in the People's Republic of China. The music was composed Ma Sicong, and the lyrics are attributed to Guo Moruo.
We the children of New China
We the pioneers of new generation
unite and carry on the traditions of revolution
not afraid of hardships or burdens
Strive for the construction of New China
Learn from our Great Leader Mao Zedong
Mao Zedong is the sun of New China
who pointed out the path for New China
The evil powers have been wiped out of China
The red flag flutters and the future is promising
Strive for the construction of New China
Follow the Communist Party of China and forge ahead
We will advocate the Youth League
and be ready to join the Youth League
All of us will study hard and exercise hard
to welcome the bright and hopeful future
Strive for the construction of New China
Fight on the front line of democracy[1]
