"Sailing The Seas Depends On The Helmsman" (大海航行靠舵手 Dàhǎi Hángxíng Kào Duòshǒu) is a Chinese revolutionary song, created in 1964. The lyrics were written by Li Yuwen, and the music was composed by Wang Shuangyin. It was commonly sung by the public, especially Red Guards (红卫兵) during the Cultural Revolution in praise of Maoism, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and then-leader Chairman Mao.[1]
