Rabindranath Tagore was a prominent Bengali polyglot in art, literature and philosophy. Much of Bengali and Indian literature and art have been reshaped by him.[1][2]
He is the creator behind India's national anthem, "Jana Gana Mana".[3] He also wrote the lyrics for the Bengali national anthem, "Amar Shonar Bangla",[4] and is the inspiration for the Sri Lankan national anthem, "Mother Sri Lanka".[5]
