Our beloved Iraq, in our hearts and eyes
Without Iraq, who else do we have? Without it, we would not exist.
Our people are united, and resolve resides deep within us.
We are at your service, O Iraq, we are coming to rebuild you.
Take us all, embrace us in your compassionate bosom.

The age of civilization is our age, and the awakening of time.
We are the ones who strived for humanity to rise.
So the Gospel and the Quran embraced in our skies.
With our Arabs, our Kurds, our Syriacs, our Turkmens,
Assyrians, Armenians, Chaldeans, and all other religions.[1]
Take us all, hold us close to your compassionate heart.

Our children, our very hearts, carried you in their arms.
Nothing else in their lives, more precious than the Motherland
By the prayers of their mothers, may the Most Merciful grant you victory
With our patience and determination, we will overcome sorrows
God will not forsake a hand striving for building
Take us all, embrace us in Your compassionate bosom
