“I'm a Little Steppe Herder” (我是草原小牧民) is a Chinesefolk song, often sung by children, written by Chinese poet Yi Ming and composed by Mongolian musician Huugjiv.[1] It is popular in Inner Mongolia.

Popular in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of China, a Mongolian version of this song was created, titled "Bi Heeriin Malchin Hün" (Би Хээрийн Малчин Хүн).
Bi bol jijighen senhrüülgiin malchin,
Honinii alchuuriig gartaa atgahaa-ni yuutai baharhaltai we.
Öws nogoon honinii ööh,
Nüdend haragdah goo üzesgelen zürhen deh bayar bayasgalan, zürh setgeliin bayar bayasgalan.
Aa aa hööye, aa aa hööye,
Nüdend haragdah goo üzesgelen zürhen deh bayar bayasgalan, zürh setgeliin bayar bayasgalan.
English translation[]
I'm a little steppe1 herder,
I'm proud of holding a sheep pizzle2 in my hand.
The grass is green and lush, the sheep are fat,
Beauty's in the eyes, joy's in the heart, joy's in the heart.
(Aha aha ho, aha aha ho!)
Beauty's in the eyes, joy's in the heart, joy's in the heart.
