The Anthem of Nayarit is an unofficial anthem of the Free and Sovereign State of Nayarit, one of the 32 federal entities of Mexico. It was created in 1947 by Sinaloan poet Rafael Carlos Quintanilla. However, in 2012, the state's government wanted an anthem with less aggressive lyrics relating to war themes, and a contest began. A version created by Héctor Espinoza was the winner of the contest, and that version was used as the state song, along with the original lyrics. In 2017, celebrate the 100th anniversary of the state's formation, another version was created. So, as a result, there are three variations of the lyrics to this song.[1]
