The "Song of the Alsatian Flag" is the regional anthem of Alsace, a territorial collectivity in eastern France. Written and composed by Emil Woerth in German when the region was part of the German Empire, it was originally adopted as the official anthem of Alsace-Lorraine in 1911. After World War I, the short-lived independent Republic of Alsace-Lorraine became part of France in late 1918.
