"Long Live Our State" is a 1943 Soviet patriotic song composed by Soviet Russian composer Boris Alexandrov, with lyrics by Alexander Shilov. It was a candidate national anthem during the time when the State Anthem of the Soviet Union was officially in use.[1][2] It was used in the 1967 October Revolution Parade.

English translation[]
Long live our State,
Fatherland of ideas grand,
Country of public law
To joy and happiness of the folk!
For this sacred right,
For its life and freedom,
Our great State
Defeated enemies in battle!
Chorus:
O’er wonderful Moscow,
O’er land favored,
Flow, O joyful song
To our young country!
Wave, O red flag
Symbol of our victories!
Thou glowest above us
Like the sun’s joyous light!
According to Lenin’s wise percepts
Our Party to happiness leadeth us!
And by Stalinist thought are warned
The country and the Soviet folk!
Wealth of Republic counteth not
And so do heroes’ forces
In country of national fraternity
Where labour is valour and honour.
Chorus
From Soviet border afar
Unto Kremlin ancient towers.
Villages and cities are growing,
And golden fields blooming.
And with every grain harvest,
And with a new machine striking,
The whole country groweth and stronger becometh,
O, Our great country!
Chorus
