The City Anthem of Cheboksary, also known as "Cheboksary, Cheboksary!", is the municipal anthem of Cheboksary, the capital city of the Chuvash Republic—a federal subject of Russia in the Volga region. It is an official symbol of the city of Cheboksary, along with the flag and coat of arms. There are two versions of the anthem: one approved in 2001, and the most recent one approved in 2009 with different lyrics and music.
The City Anthem of Cheboksary is performed when raising the city flag during official and solemn ceremonies held by local authorities, after taking the oath of the newly elected head of Cheboksary, at the opening and closing of meetings (such as during holidays), at Assembly of deputies, at the presentation of awards and prizes of local authorities, and in broadcasting and television programs in Cheboksary.[1]
