Authors

Authors are people who write books, stories and poems. In the context of music – especially in songwriting, they may be called lyricists, who are often accompanied by composers.

In copyright law, authors are the first owners of copyright of a work. For safe measure, when posting lyrics on articles, it is always good to attribute them to their original author(s).
